How I Made a Great Book Ad

I made this ad for my memoir, Dr. Beare’s Daughter, by uploading the first chapter of my book to author scale dot com. It’s a site that scans your book to identify hooks, then writes them as text in a slide show. I did not use the slides they generated, as they are not full size videos. I took the ad copy to Canva and imposed it over photos from my book, and added royalty free music—also available on Canva. If your book doesn’t have photos, you can use Canva’s AI feature to add backgrounds or people to your slides. By using a combination of Author Scale and Canva, you can put together a pretty good ad.
